Canadian 440 Squadron conduct site recon for ICEX22

CC-138 Twin Otter from 440 Transport Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, performs a reconnaissance mission to access the potential of an ice camp establishment in the vicinity of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, Feb. 24, 2022. The squadron personnel were looking for an ice sheet thick enough to support the construction of Ice Camp Queenfish as part of Ice Exercise (ICEX) 2022. ICEX 2022 is a three-week exercise that allows the Navy to assess its operational readiness in the Arctic, increase experience in the region, advance understanding of the Arctic environment, and continue to develop relationships with other services, allies and partner organizations.
